United Supply Company Opens a New PROSTOCK Store in Pennsylvania with Ruud

United Supply Company continues its relationship with Ruud and opens its first PROSTOCK store outside of its home state of New Jersey
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. July 18, 2013—In June 2013, Ruud distributor United Supply Company opened a new PROSTOCK location in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. United Supply Company has been serving HVAC and plumbing trade customers in New Jersey since 1912, and this is the first PROSTOCK location that the company has opened outside of New Jersey. It also represents the fourth PROSTOCK location that the company has opened with Ruud, part of the Rheem family of quality brands; the other PROSTOCK sites are located in Blackwood, Red Bank, and Toms River N.J.
“Last year was United Supply Company’s centennial anniversary, and it marked the first time we debuted the PROSTOCK concept. We opened our first plumbing retail showroom in the 1970s, and—with PROSTOCK—were able to give that same convenient, retail experience to our HVAC customers,” said Fred Tamberelli, president of United Supply Company. “Our new PROSTOCK store locations have all been very popular with local contractors, so it seemed like the perfect way to introduce United Supply Company to new customers in the Plymouth Meeting area.”
PROSTOCK stores offer replacement parts directly from the original equipment manufacturer, as well as aftermarket parts and supplies for professionals that install, maintain and service HVAC and water heating equipment. Rheem is one of the few manufacturers in the country offering a retail presence to meet the needs of HVAC and plumbing contractors.

On Tuesday, June 19, PROSTOCK and United Supply Company hosted a grand opening event for contractors in the Plymouth Meeting area. The event included a catered luncheon, special discounts on products and services, and giveaways for attendees. Several company representatives from United Supply Company participated in the grand opening event, including Fred Tamberelli, president and Chick Dougherty, vice president with the company. Wayne Lewis, district parts manager for PROSTOCK, also traveled to Pennsylvania to attend the event.
“We’ve heard over and over from our customers in Blackwood that the PROSTOCK layout makes it easy to find the right supplies and parts in a quick manner, and our new customers in Pennsylvania saw this first-hand at the recent grand opening event,” added Dougherty. “The event was a great way to let contractors in Plymouth Meeting know that we’re happy to be part of the community, and we’re here to serve their needs.”
